Google One

Now that practically everything in the world is done digitally, the amount of files the average person needs to store is constantly growing. Between photos, videos, music, and documents, most people need many gigabytes (GB) of cloud space to hold all of their data. If you're involved in specific industries or hobbies, that number can quickly jump up to terabytes (TB). When you find yourself with tons of data and insufficient storage space, that's when you need a productivity app like Google One.

Google One is a subscription service by Google LLC, which you can access through the Google One app. You can choose from several different plans for significantly increased cloud storage through the service. With a standard, free Google Account, you only have access to a paltry 15 GB of storage, but as a Google One subscriber, you can utilize as much as 30 TB! That difference is like a mouse compared to an elephant.

Product Features

Technically, you don't have to be a Google One subscriber to use the Google One app. Through the app's free functions, you can automatically back up your phone's data and manage your 15 GB of Google cloud storage, including Google Drive, Gmail, and Google Photos.

When you subscribe to the Google One paid service, you can choose between six possible plans. The three most common plans offer 100 GB, 200 GB, and 2 TB of extra storage space. These options can each be purchased monthly or yearly. If you have more extreme storage needs, Google One also offers 10, 20, and 30 TB plans, which are only available on a month-to-month basis.

All of Google One's subscription plans come with access to knowledgeable Google Experts. You can reach out to these Google Experts for help with any Google products or services through the app. Each plan also allows you to share your expanded cloud space with up to five other people; don't worry, you won't have access to each other's files. Your privacy will be intact, but you'll be able to divide the storage space however you please.

If you're an Android user and subscribed to a 2 TB plan or above, the Google One app is equipped with a virtual private network (VPN) service. The VPN is a beneficial tool for privacy and security that hides your IP address and encrypts all of your online activity. Suppose your files and personal information security are a top priority. In that case, it's worth considering one of the higher-tier storage packages, even if you don't expect to use all of the space.

With the 200 GB plan or above, you'll also enjoy up to 10% cash back for all purchases in the Google Store. If you utilize the store regularly, that cashback
